Award winning nature fine art photographer, Ellie Tyler hails from Altoona, Pennsylvania and now resides in the small desert community of Joshua Tree, California. Throughout her life she has cultivated a deep appreciation and respect for the power, mystery, and beauty of the natural world. It is not surprising that her images reveal this attitude. Ellie’s images reveal a simplicity of line, boldness of color and a strong sense of harmony. Keeping true to the integrity of her subjects, Elie never enhances or manipulates her images. It is her belief that to do so would only diminish the inherent beauty already crafted by nature. These qualities have become her “signature.” She is inspired by the clean, bold lines and light of the desert southwestern landscape. Over the last several years, has turned her attention to making images that reflect this unique environment. Most of Ellie’s work is created in the early morning or late afternoon hours when the light in this region is at its most dynamic.
Ellie has been exhibited and published widely. She has enjoyed teaching her craft and conducting workshops throughout the Southwestern United States. Other times, she travels across the region creating and capturing images which grace the homes and offices of her many patrons worldwide. Ellie has worked and studied with many of photography's best loved artists.
